Novembers volunteers of the Month The Spruce family from Wymondham
This months Indigo Waste, providing botle banks throughout Norfolk, volunteers of the month unusually goes to one family. We will be awarding a joint Young Volunteer of he month as we were so impressed by the application. It goes to:
The Spruce family of Wymondham RFC. All the family have been very involved with Wymondham RFC since the boys started playing in the Mini’s. Dad Rob became a coach which led him to start playing rugby for the first time in his 40’s for the 3rd XV, now plays for the 2nd XV and recently played for our 1st XV. With Rob playing on a Saturday and the boys on a Sunday, not to mention training sessions during the week, it means the Spruce family’s life revolves around the club and they are all willing to lend a hand, whatever the job that needs doing. They can regularly be found “sprucing” up the club – the boys are good with a paint brush, and have a knack of turning up with a mop and bucket just at the right time post match when things get messy in the club house. Mum Joan helps with coaching and is known as “Mummy” by the 3rd XV since she is first aid trained and good at paperwork, not to mention making sure they get home safely too! Joan attends management, social and playing committee meetings as minute secretary and very involved with organising social activities at the club.
Congratulations to Connor Spruce age 16 and his Younger brother Jack age 13 and their Mother Joan aged over 25!
It is very difficult to choose one brother from the other since they are both so helpful!
